Luxurious movie seating

Check out these movie theater seats! These are the most comfortable electronic recliner seats I’ve ever sat in and they are in a movie theater! This is called “deluxe seating”. They are not in all theaters. Definitely worth the extra rupees, though. These are the only comfortable seats in all of Ahmedabad. The first time we went to a movie with this seating, Erik spent nearly the whole movie pushing the buttons on the seat to move the foot rest up and down and up and down. Leave it to this place to one-up Sundance. No alcohol served, but in addition to popcorn, you can purchase typical Indian snack foods like samosas, sandwiches, and curried vegetables. There’s even a jewelry counter…nope, not kidding. Yes, you can purchase jewelry at the movie theater. Oh, and I can’t forget about intermission. Yes, India movie theaters stop the show in the middle so you can get up and purchase more stuff or use the restroom. This takes a little getting used to. Cameras are not welcome at the theater, otherwise I would’ve taken a picture of the concessions counters. I had to sneak in these shots of the boys and their friend, Ben, after the show was done.
