Mary Jane booties

I had no idea that these booties would be such a quick knit project. They were so easy and fun!

It’s a very simple Lion brand pattern, found here. The pattern’s author named them ‘Goodbye Yellow Brick Road’ Booties because she knit them up in a sparkly red yarn, reminiscent of Dorothy’s shoes.

These are for Juline’s baby (a friend at work) who will be baptized soon. She’ll have to report to me how well these stay on. This will help me decide whether to make them again and again for other new babies to come.
